AISI 1026: ASTM A-29, ASTM A-108 & API SPEC 6A
GENERAL SCOPE:
1026 is a low Carbon steel grade that can be used in a variety of structural oilfield applications that require low strength or will be subjected to surface hardening. This grade contains Carbon, Manganese, and Silicon as the only intentionally added elements.
1026 can also be used for carburizing, where a high surface hardness and good core ductility are required.
