CARBON

Low carbon steel grades are used in a variety of structural oilfield applications that only require low strength, or will be subjected to surface hardening. These carbon grades contain Carbon, Manganese, and Silicon as the only intentionally added elements.

These grades are typically used in the hot rolled, forged, or cold drawn condition without further heat treatment.

Stocked Grades : 1018, 1026/A106 & 1045

ALLOYS

A low alloy steel is generally defined as having 2% to 10 % total alloy content, comprising of one or more of the following elements: Chromium, Manganese, Molybdenum, Nickel. The primary function of these elements is to increase the hardenability in order to optimize the mechanical properties and toughness after heat treatment.

These alloys can be stocked in the As-Rolled, Normalized, Annealed, or Quenched and Tempered Heat Treat Conditions.

NICKEL

Nickel based alloys are classified as having over 45% Nickel in their chemical composition. Dependent upon other elements present, various Nickel grades may be hardenable through an age hardening heat treat process, while others may only be strengthened through cold working.

These Nickel alloys offer a combination of excellent corrosion resistance, strength, toughness and can be used at elevated temperatures in severe environments.

Stocked Grades : 625, 718, 925

API 5CT

API 5CT grades are commonly used in casing, production tubing, coupling stock, pup joints and various downhole accessories.

Energy Alloys stocks a variety of sizes in tubular form in these grade categories. All grades are in compliance with API 5CT mechanical and impact testing expectations, including Ultrasonic Testing.

Stocked Grades : J55, K55, N80, L80, T95, C110, P110, Q125

STAINLESS

Stainless Steel is generally defined as a steel having at least 10% Chromium in conjunction with other alloy elements. They are resistant to corrosion or rusting associated with exposure to water or moist air.

There are four main groupings of Stainless Alloys commonly used in the oil industry:

OCTG

Oil country tubular goods (OCTG) is a family of seamless rolled products consisting of drill pipe, casing and tubing subjected to loading conditions according to their specific application.

Stocked Grades : API Grades Seamless and ERW, 13 Chrome, Super / Hyper / Modified 13Cr, Duplex 22Cr / Super Duplex 25Cr / 25CRW-125 & Nickel Based Alloys
